We dig bones and we have stuff! We thought it would be fun to make up our own dig kits, so we did: Ours are special—they come with actual fossils (shark's teeth, pieces of amber, ammonites, and bone fragments infuse our blocks of matrix).

Kits are available for individuals or entire classrooms!

These kits make great gifts for those with a passing interest in fossils, or those among us who spend most of the day planning the next big find. Possibly ammonites, trilobites, crinoid pieces, shark teeth, petrified wood, dinosaur bone fragments and amber are to be found! Not all kits contain everything, but they certainly have enough so everyone will be surprised, happy and pleased. Each kit comes with descriptions of what needs to be found. For larger groups, we offer just the blocks with fossils (you supply the goggles)—so everyone in a class has a chance to find something they can call their own. The material that the fossils are embedded in is malleable; in fact, you can carve it—so no hammers are needed (we still think goggles are a good idea). Once the pieces are removed and cleaned, the digger has superb examples of what he or she might find at a real site.
